Helped with my career shift

I was looking into their Career Transition Support and ended up using it. They revamped my LinkedIn profile and gave pretty good interview prep. It took a little longer than I thought to get going, but it worked out. It was nice to have someone handle the outreach part for me.

Good service, some delays

I used their Executive Job Search Management service. The resume strategy was solid, and the direct outreach helped. I did feel the communication could be a bit quicker at times. Overall, a positive experience, but patience is key.

Reverse Recruiting worked well

I signed up for the Reverse Recruiting service after a consultation. The initial steps, like the resume strategy and executive bio writing, were handled professionally. My case manager was helpful, and the regular updates on recruiter outreach were informative. It took about three months to land a new role, which felt reasonable for my field. The salary negotiation support was a big plus, I definitely got a better offer because of it. My only small criticism is that the availability of my coach sometimes varied, which occasionally slowed down follow-ups. Still, I consider it a worthwhile investment for what I achieved.

Hey has anyone used My Personal Recruiter or one of those other services like Find My Profession? Trying to figure out if it's actually worth it for a senior role or just another glorified resume mill.

I used them last year for a VP position and it was definitely more hands-on than I expected. They actually reach out to hiring managers for you and help negotiate. Not cheap though, gotta admit.

Yeah, I looked at a few. MPR is more for executives, like C-suite or really high-level stuff. If you're not quite there, maybe something like The Ladders or TopStack Resume might be a better fit, probably cheaper too. MPR guarantees a lot more personalized attention though.
